The ten modules aim to replace parking spaces to give back the streets to the people.
For a long time, city planning was all about cars. We build cities for cars with big streets and a lot of space for parking. Cars that stand around most of the time, clogging the streets. Regarding the climate crisis and the corona pandemic, we feel that it is time to rethink and re-use the urban space, and by doing so reclaiming and revitalizing the streets. The corona pandemic, in particular, has shown that the places where we live have to become more liveable, greener and more flexible. The crisis puts all our living and urban trends to the test. We asked ourselves, what is missing in our districts? What would make the neighbourhood more liveable? How you can enjoy your free time and your vacation in a fulfilling way in your neighbourhood, and where do we have the space to implement these activities? We designed 10 modules with different requirements that have the size of a standard parking lot. They will function as an extension of the sidewalks and give the neighbourhood more space for the people who live there.play & stay
The play and stay module contains a ping-pong table. Playing is a good way to connect with the people in your neighbourhood.
shit bit
Dogs and dog-owners are gonna love this one! Also, the rest of the neighbourhood doesn't have to step into dog shit any more. Even the Porsche driver would get rid of their car for that! ;)
pond bond
Because of climate change, it's getting hot in here! It's important to have water in the district to cool it down. Also, how romantic can a talk on a pond be?!
hood wood
We all know that we need more green in our cities. For the neighbourhood's climate as well as to have a cool place to rest in summer.
cool pool
How cool is that? No more explanations needed, right?
beach speech
When there's a pool, of course, we need a beach for the perfect summer vibe and that holiday feeling in the neighbourhood.
nice ice
12sqm are also big enough for tiny kiosks. It will help the economy and allow people to buy coffee or ice cream on the street.
farm charm
Not everyone can have a garden or balcony to plant their own veggies. Not only is gardening a cool hobby, but it also helps to make people more aware of regional food.
pitch in kitchen
Cooking brings people together. Especially for people who usually live and eat alone, sometimes it is nice to share their meal with others. We calculated the costs of the outdoor kitchen; The material would cost around 1.300€ and the flooring panels are 12,5 sqm.
