A closed loop running track is replacing existing parking lanes in Viennas' 7th district.
The Loop Run 7 is a closed loop running track with several kilometers of length. It is made of a bright red colored rubber material (EPDM) for a smooth and healthy running experience. The rubber material is a clear distinction to the bordering asphalt paving. Occasional white marks on that gigantic red ribbon indicate the passing of each kilometer.
Traffic lights at busy crossings can be linked to a runners' smartphone that can indicate an optimal starting time to run and catch a green wave, given a certain pace and location.
This proposal will lead to a healthier and happier inner-city community. A community, that is currently suffering from a lack of public and green space and a high traffic pollution.
